## Job Content

### Job overview

Hampshire Hospitals have vacancies for experienced CT radiographers or radiographers willing to undergo our departmental CT Training. Successful candidates will join our dedicated team of Radiographers offering unparallel CT services to our patients. Rotating through Andover and Winchester.

You will be joining the department at a very exciting time when our Radiology Department has engaged in a fully managed equipment replacement programme. The department has just undergone a complete refurbishment and installation of new imaging equipment incorporating the latest technology.

In our current CT suite, we have  Canon Prism and  Canon Prime scanners. The post will potentially offer voluntary rotation to our sister department, at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital on a Bank contract basis, which is facilitated by having identical equipment across the Trust.

HHFT is proud to have achieved commendations in relation to patient care and access including being awarded a CQC rating of ‘good’ overall with an ‘outstanding’ for care.

### Main duties of the job

HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including body imaging and CT colonography. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies as well as developing an expanding cardiac and ablation service.

Therefore, with the expansion of Radiology services over the next few years and enhanced scope of practice available, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your portfolio.

We welcome applications from experienced CT Radiographers and Radiographers wanting to diversify their knowledge by undertaking our Training Program. Candidates will have effective leadership skills, have a proactive approach to providing outstanding care for every patient. Ideal candidates will be a well organised team player, with great clinical knowledge, good communication skills and the ability to prioritise ever-changing worklists. An excellent working knowledge of CT and patient safety is essential with the ability to participate in our extended day,  nights, and weekend service. Trainees are expected to have a good baseline knowledge of radiography and be highly motivated to undertake independent learning throughout the Training Period.
