The Imaging Department St Bartholomew’s Hospital, (Barts Health) have an exciting career development opportunity to become a CT Operational lead Radiographer in our team.

Imaging services across Barts Health are transitioning to a new model of work, recruiting more staff, including Imaging Assistants, to drive the quality of care delivered by Radiography across all sites. Our vision is to support staff to work to the top of their licence, nurturing skills through training and mentorship to realise a workforce that provides outstanding care for our patients now and in the future.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is excited about providing high quality patient care within a close-knit and supportive team environment. We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, motivated and experienced radiographer to co-manage the day-to-day operations of the CT department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This position is one of three Band 7 Radiographers who will be expected to jointly manage the day-to-day CT operations, reporting to the CT Modality Lead Radiographer.

This will be a challenging but rewarding role and we welcome Radiographers with the desire to stretch their leadership skills and enhance their prospects for career progression.

### Experience

**Essential**

- NHS CT experience
- Extensive experience as a radiographer performing a wide range of CT.
- Experience of current, and awareness of developing trends in CT service.
- Wide experience of CT scanning equipment and techniques.
- Experience in training of other staff or students
- Day to day operational management
- Participation in Quality Assurance/Clinical Governance initiatives.
- Some personnel management Current experience of research and audit.

**Desirable**

- Experience of post graduate teaching
- To have been involved in implementing change to a service/department

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- BSc Radiography or DCR
- State Registration
- Some formal management training
- IV cannulations- or willingness to achieve this skill in house.
- Post Graduate qualification in CT (or willing to undertake this)
- CT Colon training (or willingness to undertake this)

**Desirable**

- Radiation Protection Supervisor experience
