Kneesworth House

Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | On Site

£159,600 per annum

Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose-built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is one of the largest Priory Hospitals in the UK, offering secure, acute, PICU and rehab inpatient services.

### Main duties of the job

In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). The role is to support 10 bedded female PICU and rehab, with full support from a speciality doctor; and participate in 2nd on-call Consultant rota. The role may change based on site needs.
- Supervising the process of referral and admission, including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members.
- Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
- Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.

## Person Specification

### Requirements

**Essential**

- MRCPsych (or equivalent)
- CCT (or equivalent) and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
- Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status
- Approved Clinician status
- Clinical Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the speciality
- Ability to work in and lead a team
- Demonstrate commitment to shared leadership & collaborative working to deliver improvement
- Participated in continuous professional development
- Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative
