We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join us at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust (KMMH) in the ‘Garden of England’.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing mental health and learning disability services to a diverse population of 1.8 million people in Kent and Medway. ### Main duties of the job

This is a 10 PA plus 0.5 PA and 3% Category A availability supplement for on-call post. Part time or job-share applications are welcome.

Successful applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

- Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement: awards, prizes, presentations and publications.

### Clinical Skills, Knowledge and Experience

- Excellent knowledge in specialty
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge

### Training, Qualifications and Registration

**Essential**

- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a Licence to Practise.
- On the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months of completing CCT in Older Adult psychiatry).
- Approved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment

**Desirable**

- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
- MRCPsych
- Additional clinical qualifications.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
