We have a new opportunity at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in out Adult ADHD, Autism and Tourette's team.

### Main duties of the job

The Adult ADHD, Autism and Tourette’s Team  (AAATT Team) offers highly specialised diagnostic assessments and interventions for adults with Asperger's Syndrome, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette's Syndrome.  This is a newly developed post to expand the multi-disciplinary representation within the team and support implementation of forthcoming national directives around service delivery.

## Person Specification

### Skills and Abilities

**Essential**

- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- - Evidence of the ability to communicate with patients, colleagues and staff at all levels.
- - Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences including courts and tribunals
- - Ability to motivate and develop junior Medical Staff and other MDT members
- - To balance individual requirements against those of the Directorate and Trust as a whole
- - An understanding of the political and financial framework within which the Services operate
- - Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
- - Post holder will need to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner.

**Desirable**

- - Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
- - Able to plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training relevant to this post
- - Experienced in clinical research and / or service evaluation

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- - Full GMC Registration
- - MBBS or equivalent

**Desirable**

- - Additional higher medical/scientific qualification relevant to the specialty
- - GMC Specialist Registration or commitment to obtain via CESR application.
- - S12 registered
- - MRCPsych
