Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal Full Time | 37.5 hours | Site Based£170,000HCPC registration requiredWe have an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Hospital Cheadle. Working on our EDU ward, this is an excellent role for a Psychiatrist.Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment. Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.

### What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver outstanding clinical care to patients referred to the hospital, ensuring they receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to their individual needs. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help provide holistic, person-centred care that supports recovery, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes.You will take clinical responsibility for a defined patient caseload, leading key aspects of care delivery, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments and reviews, strategic care planning, and the development of a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.As part of your responsibilities, you will also fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, providing clinical leadership and ensuring the highest standards of care, governance, and legal compliance.You can find additional information in the attached job description.
