Consultant Paediatric ENT Surgeon based at the Royal Hospital for Children. The role will include the management of elective and emergent ENT admissions, outpatient clinics and inpatient / day case theatre. The job plan will be negotiated depending on subspecialty interests and departmental need. In addition to this the on-call component will be 1:8.

The post holder will join a team including 7 consultant otolaryngologists, 1 audiovestibular physician, 2 specialty doctors, 1 senior clinical fellow, 2 speciality registrars, GP Trainees, two complex airway clinical nurse specialists and 2 ENT clinical nurse specialists. The department has a developing research portfolio and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

All applicants must possess full GMC Registration, a licence to practice, CCT (or equivalent) and a paediatric fellowship (or equivalent experience).

## Person Specification

### Experience and Training

**Essential**

- Evidence of higher specialist training leading to Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview (for UK trained applicants)
- Individuals applying for a Specialty Doctor post must have at least four years full-time postgraduate training
- For Specialty Doctor posts, two years of postgraduate training must have been in a relevant acute specialty, or evidence equivalent experience and competences
