This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking neurosurgeon to play a key role in the delivery and development of high-quality adult elective and emergency neurosurgical services, while providing specialist expertise within our Pituitary and Skull Base service. We are looking for a collaborative clinician with a strong commitment to innovation, education, training, audit and research, who will help shape the future of the service and raise its profile through clinical excellence, publications and professional engagement. Working closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to specialist MDTs, operating, outpatient and emergency care, while supporting the development of trainees and colleagues. Please see the Consultant Brochure for further information. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care while working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. You will provide high-quality adult neurosurgical care across elective and emergency services, with a specialist role within the Pituitary and Skull Base multidisciplinary services, including operating, outpatient clinics, on-call cover and MDT participation. They will provide clinical leadership in education, training, audit and research, supporting the development of trainees and colleagues while contributing to service innovation and continuous improvement. The postholder will also contribute actively to clinical governance, departmental leadership and the ongoing development and profile of the Pituitary and Skull Base service through collaboration, research, publications and professional engagement.
