In this role, you will  take part in the on call trauma rota. Along with our existing team of 21 consultants, you will provide a comprehensive trauma and orthopaedic service to our local population of approximately 500,000. There is an active postgraduate teaching and research programme within the department and with 18 junior and career grade medical staff, you will be involved in the teaching programmes. The  role is based in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath. Bath is an historic city known for its elegant Georgian architecture, green spaces and vibrant cultural scene. It also boasts a variety of renowned schools, including primary, secondary, and higher education institutions. Bath Spa University and the University of Bath are prominent universities in the area. The post will be based across the RUH and Sulis Orthopaedic Centre ### Main duties of the job You are a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon or post CCT Trainee with a particular interest in soft tissue knee.The holder will participate in audit and directorate meetings and undertake administrative duties as required by the Clinical Lead in Trauma & Orthopaedics. A commitment to maintain professional expertise by attendance at meetings and courses is  required, as in an interest in research and teaching  with participation in projects, courses, etc. to enhance the standing and role of the Department and Trust.
