There is space here to make a meaningful impact. ### Main duties of the job The primary function of the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry is to provide consultant led expertise on referral to patients from general dental practice colleagues and the community dental service. Shared care working is encouraged to provide appropriate care locally for the population of North Cumbria. The Consultant in Restorative Dentistry will also work alongside Orthodontic and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical (OMFS) teams for treatment of patients requiring joint orthodontic and restorative management, and Head and Neck Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) clinics The Restorative Dental Service is delivered from the Carlisle Dental Education Centre on the Cumberland Infirmary site in Carlisle, Cumbria and is supported by a dental therapist/hygienist team, and an in-house dental laboratory for non-complex work.
