We are looking for a dynamic Consultant in Public Health Medicine/Consultant in Public Health to provide expert leadership for Healthcare Public Health, working collaboratively with partners in the health and care system to maximise the population benefits of healthcare. This may include translating the evidence-base to inform service design and planning, consideration of equity of access and identifying effective preventative interventions, as well as supporting our screening and immunisation functions. This post is situated within the Healthcare Public Health Division and reports to the Lead Consultant for Healthcare Public Health. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with strong strategic leadership skills to work with partners across the health and care system to embed preventative approaches, reduce health inequalities and promote sustainable healthcare. Candidates must be included in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List or included in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists at the point of application. Public health specialty registrar applicants who are not yet on the GMC Specialist Register, GDC Specialist List in dental public health or UKPHR must provide verifiable signed documentary evidence that they are within 6 months of gaining entry to a register at the date of interview.
