Applications are invited for a part time 10 PA Consultant post in Paediatric, Adolescent and Neonatal Surgery at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Applicants must have trained in general paediatric surgery and should be skilled in laparoscopic techniques.

The successful applicant will be expected to support the existing workload within the department and the expanding outreach service. They will participate in teaching and clinical research.

- Qualifications and Training | Full UK Registration with General Medical Council and licensed to practice or eligible if currently working overseas
 
On Paediatric Surgery Specialist Register or eligible for this within 6 months of starting the job.
 
Possession of APLS/PALS
- Experience | Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients including major trauma and general paediatric surgery emergency.
- Knowledge | Understanding of the principles of management
 
Broad knowledge of speciality
 
Willingness to contribute to research activity within the department
 
Knowledge and understanding of child safeguarding
- Skills | Ability to write and implement management protocols
 
Ability to organise and manage
- Personal | Ability to work in a multi disciplinary team
 
Willingness to form links within and outside the region
