Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, part time (28 hours per week) post based in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.

This is a substantive paediatric respiratory consultant post. It is currently funded for 7PAs but it is expected that opportunities to take on additional PAs will arise.

The department delivers tertiary respiratory care to children in NHS Lothian and by agreement in other health boards across Scotland. The post includes no current commitment to out of hours work but is expected that a dedicated on-call respiratory rota will begin later in 2026 with a planned 1 in 6 contributions, including the successful candidate.

- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine and general paediatric medicine.
- Level 3 child protection training.
- Appropriate paediatric life support qualification.
