### The shift pattern for this post is Full Time

The Older People and Stroke Services team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) are seeking to fill a consultant post to support the work of this dynamic and rapidly growing service. The post is available from August 2026 on a permanent basis.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) are undertaking a major, multi-year transformation programme entitled “Reform 25: Transforming Together”. This programme focuses on shifting the balance of care, allowing more patients to be treated at home, reducing lengths of stay, and decreasing delayed discharges. This includes the development of a Flow Navigation Centre (FNC+), virtual hospital beds and digital tools lead by a new interface division.

This is a new post and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at the GRI as we play a key role in the implementation of the Reform 25 strategy, working with colleagues across GGC to deliver a whole system re-design of frailty services. This will include the re-design of frailty pathways with the development of locality frailty hubs and hospital at home to ensure that our older population get the right care, in the right place at the right time.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated person to work as part of our acute, front door frailty and community teams to help build and develop these services.

Interested?
