If you are interested in joining this new and innovative team, please follow the links below; we would welcome your application. ### Main duties of the job - The consultant will provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge and in partnership with colleagues working for the proper function of the department and hospital. - To attend relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings. - To undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of outpatient clinics. - There is an expectation of collaborative working with the other haematology consultants to provide a comprehensive haematology service for the whole of mid and south Essex ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers. The Trust is currently working to enable the service to be clinically driven and led by the new MSE Pathology Group model supported with an effective management structure and clear lines of governance accountable for timely delivery of high quality, safe and cost effective pathology service all in line with the recommendation made by Lord Carter. Haematology is the main clinical specialty within Pathology. There are clinically driven plans for subspecialisation in haematology with an aim to strive for excellence in malignant and non-malignant haematology service delivery across MSE.
