We are keen to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic candidate who will join an innovative and forward-thinking clinical service which benefits from close links to extensive research groups. Clinics will be held at St George’s Hospital and at various locations throughout Surrey and West Sussex. Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of attaining a CCST at the time of interview. ### Main duties of the job We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate about translating genomic data to improve the care of rare disease.  Clinicians within the rare disease service have established very close working relationships with both specialist colleagues within St George’s and those working in secondary and primary care across the region to provide integrated care for patients. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post-holder will join this supportive and innovative team and take shared responsibility for cancer genetics referrals to clinics at St. George’s University Hospital and around the SW Thames region. The post-holder can develop their own specialist interest commensurate with departmental requirements and will be offered the opportunity to lead on specialist cancer services to support and enhance their continuing professional development and career aspirations. There will be opportunities for working across trusts to facilitate mainstreaming of genomic medicine.  The post is for 10 PAs, divided between Direct Clinical Care and Supporting Professional Activities according to the requirements of the post holder and Trust.
