Youll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering specialist care, with first-line cover provided by RMOs, the on-call responsibility is minimal and shared on a rota with colleagues. ### Main duties of the job As our General Surgeon, you will provide a full range of surgical diagnosis, treatment and care to inpatients, day patients and outpatients who require general surgery. As a key member of the centres team you will be working closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospitals Medical Director, and local Leadership Team. ### About us What were looking for: - Qualified surgeon on the GMC specialist register - Experience of working in general surgery, especially laparoscopic procedures (hernia repair and cholecystectomy). - Able to conduct clinical audits - Able to communicate well with patients and staff, both orally and in writing. - Committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development.
