The Inpatient team on the Kedleston Unit delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care and risk management for patients who present a risk of harm to others in the context of a serious mental disorder. There are 20 beds at the Kedleston Unit across 2 wards - Curzon ward is an eight-bedded assessment ward - Scarsdale ward is a twelve-bedded rehabilitation ward You will work alongside a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) including psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and junior doctors. You will closely with the Forensic Consultants and Multi Agency Professional Approved Clinician (MPAC) working in our Community Forensic Team as well as the Consultant in our new male PICU ward. Derbyshire is part of the IMPACT Provider Collaborative (East Midlands adult secure care). We aim to improve secure care patient pathways, the interfaces between the health, social care and criminal justice system and provide on-going service development: Access to structured mentorship and support for newly qualified Consultants will be provided and lead by our Care Group Clinical Director.
