Our service offers a diverse caseload including neurodevelopmental assessment,ADHD,special educational needs and disability, safeguarding, looked after children, complex health needs and special school clinics.You will work alongside experienced Consultants, Specialty Doctors,Specialist Nurses and allied health professionals committed to delivering high-quality,child-centred care. If you are passionate about community paediatrics, we would love to hear from you. ### Main duties of the job We aim to appoint an enthusiastic consultant who will be leading and working with our excellent team adapting to changing needs of the department. Main duties will include doing community paediatric and seeing complex health needs patients in special school clinics. Essential to have excellent communication skills to lead on patient care, MDT and multiagency meeting as appropriate . Successful candidate would be doing 3 clinics per weeks and providing 1 in 5 on call safeguarding covering daytime including Fridays. See job description for more details. Provide support and reports for Special education needs and disability team for the patients Complete Child safeguarding medical examinations and provide reports/attendance to conference/meetings/court as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -- Risk and clinical governance lead for the department and maintaining professional competence The post holder will: Participate in clinical governance activities including audits, and other supporting activities as directed by the needs of the service. Respond to and engage with any complaints or investigations within the department Attend statutory, essential and mandatory training .
