This is a 10 PA post and applicants are strongly advised that we require a doctor able to work 10 PAs. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, forward looking and well established team of Consultant Community Paediatricians providing citywide community paediatric services across Manchester. The service works closely with other community health services including community children’s nursing, health visiting, school nursing, and physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy. It provides services in partnership with acute hospital services, the local authority, voluntary organisations and other agencies that provide health and social care to meet the health needs of local communities. The Community Paediatric Service is part of the Division of Manchester Children’s Community Health in the Manchester Local Care Organisation, which is part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Community Paediatric Service provides a citywide community paediatric service from an office base near Manchester city centre. Candidates must be eligible for their own GMC registration - MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for candidates who are offered permanent vacancies. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will provide a paediatric service to children living in Manchester including: assessment of children with developmental delay and disability; medical input into a specialist primary school; assessment of looked after children and children protection.
