We are looking for a Clinical Oncologist with an interest in Gynaecology and Skin. We are open to discussion around these tumour sites as we are aware that flexibility is important. The posts are based at the Royal Derby Hospital with work at Queens Hospital Burton which provide Cancer Services for the population of Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. The Cancer Business Unit is proud to offer high quality clinical care within flexible and sustainable job plan structures. ### Main duties of the job The appointee will be responsible for: - Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultant colleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics at Derby and Burton. - Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis. This will include care of patients and supervision of junior doctors. - The care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the Department - Undertaking teaching/training duties as required and actively participating in the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes - Participating in clinical and medical audit and actively contributing in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance - Actively participating in continuing medical education (CME) ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please refer to the detailed job description that is attached to this advert for an overview of responsibilities and information about the role within the Cancer Business Unit. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
