Other interests will also be strongly considered, and the job can be shaped to individual’s experience and preferences.  There are new opportunities across several cancer sites, which are negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Facilities include an on-site Chemotherapy Day unit.  Our Radiotherapy Suite is also nearing completion of a major upgrade for completion in 2026. University Hospitals Plymouth is proud to offer our patients a broad portfolio of clinical trials and supports all staff to engage in research, all Oncology staff are supported with job-planned  time, and a team of Research staff. Each Consultant manages their own site-specific workload, working collaboratively as a site team to ensure that new patients are seen within 7 days of referral as much as possible.   You will participate in our Acute Oncology Service on a 1 week in 14 rotation. You will be expected to participate in a minimum of 1 in 14 acute oncology service cover including weekend rounds and off site cover at night. On call duties are supported by an Oncology SpR. Appropriate dedicated specialist nursing and administrative and operational support will also be provided.
