## Job Content

### Job overview

This post is for two Consultant Cellular Pathologists 10PAs (with up to 2 additional PAs) to join a team of Cellular Pathologists (currently 1.9 wte NHS Consultants and additional support provided by a private company with 3 Consultant Pathologists on-site and additional outsourced reporting).

There is a large and diverse workload with provision of the Cellular Pathology service to the Hospital (including Northamptonshire Cancer Centre) and to Primary Care. There are network links with Leicester Hospitals and Kettering and the department supports a full programme of local and regional cancer MDTs. This is a modern, well-equipped department with a commitment towards “Lean” working, the laboratory has full ISO 15189 accreditation.

Each Consultant has a modern well-equipped office with high quality microscope, teaching head and digital imaging system. The personal computer has digital dictation software and access to hospital intranet and internet facilities. Voice recognition is planned.
