This post will be for a substantive appointment, to carry out breast surgical procedures and clinics at Queen Alexandra Hospital and becomes available at the start of October 2026. The appointee will also be required to provide out patient breast clinics, mdt and theatre sessions once or twice a week at St. Marys Hospital, Isle of Wight. The breast units carry out both screening and symptomatic assessments, treating over 1000 cancers annually and is an ABS/BAPRAS accredited National Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Training Centre. The Surgical oncology department offers both clinics, MDT and theatre for management of skin cancer and sarcoma. The Breast & Surgical Oncology department participate in numerous national and regional research studies and innovation projects, with an emphasis on device technology and digital health.
