### Job overview

To deliver safe, effective and independent histopathology reporting in Cellular Pathology within an agreed Stage D scope of practice, alongside macroscopic dissection of relevant specimens. The post holder may present cases at MDT, provide expert advice to clinical teams, lead quality and audit activities to ISO 15189 standards, and support education, research and service development within an integrated team.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Advanced analytical/judgement;
- Synoptic reporting;
- Communication of complex/sensitive information;

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- RCPath datasets/tissue pathways;
- IBMS dissection principles;
- Appropriate use/interpretation of ancillary tests.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Advanced practice in Reporting and dissection within agreed Stage D scope;
- Participation in EQA;
- Evidence of audit/QMS contributions.
- MDT presentation

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- HCPC-registered BMS;
- MSc (or equivalent); FIBMS (or equivalent).
- RCPath/IBMS ASD in Histopathology
- Reporting with completed Stage D preceptorship and Dissection;
- IBMS DEP in Histological Dissection (or equivalent competence).
