This additional substantive post comprises ten programmed activities (8 DCC: 2 SPA). This post primarily pertains to critical care (6.5PA) ideally with an allied specialty (1.5PA) e.g. anaesthesia. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and able individual to join a friendly and dynamic critical care team. It is also an opportunity to live and work in the Highlands of Scotland known for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and fantastic outdoors lifestyle. The Critical Care Team currently comprises 9 Consultant Intensivists, 2 Specialists and 1 Specialty Doctor, 1 Advanced Critical Care Practitioner and 1 ACCP-trainee. There are a mixture of resident doctors in training including ACCS; Anaesthesia; FICM stage one and clinical fellows. The on-call commitment is dedicated to Critical Care Medicine and is currently 1:9 with prospective cover. Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the time of interview.
