We are seeking a committed and  knowledgeable Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our  team. As a Band 7 Tissue Viability CNS, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, teaching, management, and care to patients with pressure ulcers and other complex wounds, within the community.

This position requires a passionate advocate for patient-centred care. You will be a key clinical leader, supporting the development and implementation of best practices, enhancing quality of care, and empowering both patients and healthcare professionals with knowledge and expertise in Tissue Viability.

### Main duties of the job

Act as a specialist in tissue viability, and a core member of the  wider Community Nursing Team.

To provide professional and clinical leadership in aspects of tissue viability issues across Northern Lincolnshire.

Management of patient referrals to the Tissue Viability Service.

Review current treatments, resources use and monitor the outcomes and cost effectiveness of care provision.

Provide training and education programmes about tissue viability to all levels of staff and disciplines. Focusing on ward-based training.

To lead and work collaboratively with other team members to identify and deliver Tissue Viability Trust wide projects. Contribute to the strategy for the effective use of pressure relieving equipment across the Trust.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in participating/ undertaking audits.

**Desirable**

- Current knowledge of issues affecting the provision of health services in the evolving health care market.

- NMC Registration
- Formal post-registration qualification in Teaching & Assessing
- BSc in Nursing or equivalent
- Relevant Post Registration experience with at Band 6 level, specifically in tissue viability
- Experience in leg ulcer management
- Expert knowledge of the management of acute and chronic wounds/pressure ulcers

**Desirable**

- Formal post-registration qualification in Tissue Viability.
- Formal post-registration qualification in leg ulcer management
