We're looking for a Community Support Worker to join our Adult Mental Health Service Team in Wokingham. We offer a 9-5 service to adults with enduring mental health difficulties.

### Main duties of the job

This is a varied, front-line role in a compassionate and forward-thinking team where you'll:

Utilise scope of practice to undertake community support worker role and provide information and advice on supporting recovery work associated with the patient group.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting adults with mental health problems, including dementia. This role is community based and therefore the successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes, including carrying patients and carers as passengers. You will be a team player, be highly motived, compassionate and demonstrate a good understanding for working with adults with mental health needs. Appropriate training and support will be provided as needed.

The post holder will be well supported and guided by the Clinical Team Lead and Mental Health Practitioners within the Community Mental Health Team. They will have their own allocated caseload and support the delivery of excellent care to our CMHT caseload.

This post is 30 hrs a week over 4 days – days to be agreed.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Paid or unpaid direct care experience
- Working with older people with mental health problems including dementia
- Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
