We would particularly like to hear from candidates who: - Have experience managing complex or high-risk foot conditions - Are ready to take on greater clinical autonomy and responsibility - Enjoy working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams We are looking for an experienced HCPC-registered Podiatrist who: - Has post-registration podiatry experience. - Has experience of managing patients with complex or high-risk foot problems. - Can demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. - Is confident working autonomously and managing their own clinical caseload. - Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Is able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Is adaptable, motivated and able to work across different community settings. - Is committed to supporting and developing colleagues. ### Main duties of the job As a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist, you will: - Work as an autonomous practitioner managing a specialist clinical caseload. - Assess, diagnose, plan and deliver evidence-based podiatric care. - Provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with high-risk and complex foot problems. - Undertake wound assessment and management where appropriate. - Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans. - Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, diabetes teams, vascular services and other members of the multidisciplinary team. - Provide advice, education and preventative foot-care information to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals. - Support the development and delivery of high-quality community podiatry services. - Contribute to clinical supervision, mentorship, teaching and development of colleagues and students. - Participate in service development, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance. - Support the continued development of specialist pathways within Community Podiatry.
