Are you an experienced Respiratory Nurse looking for your next leadership challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Community Respiratory Service, where you will have the chance to shape the future of respiratory care and make a lasting difference to patients' lives.

As our Band 7 Team Lead, you will provide visible clinical and operational leadership to a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting people living with long-term respiratory conditions to achieve the best possible outcomes within their own communities.

### Main duties of the job

In this exciting leadership role, you will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of the service while driving innovation, quality improvement and pathway development. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will influence both operational delivery and strategic priorities, ensuring services continue to meet the evolving needs of our local population.

You will champion high standards of patient-centred care, support the development of staff and services, and lead initiatives that enhance outcomes for people living with respiratory conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician who is motivated to inspire others, improve services and deliver meaningful change.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Independent non-medical prescriber (V300)
- Degree/ Diploma in nursing studies

**Desirable**

- Clinical examination skills qualification
- Recognised teaching qualification
- COPD qualification

- Ability to manage own caseload and resources effectively
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to review and audit current practice and implement appropriate change
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to prioritise workload for self and team

- Evidence of innovative thoughts and actions

- Ability to maintain accurate and contemporaneous records on all systems

- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of and able to utilise: - Word, Outlook, Excel, and organisational information systems i.e. Systmone
- Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs

- Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes

### Professional Registration

**Essential**

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult / General Level 1 or 2)
- Independent non-medical prescriber (V300)

### Knowledge, Training & Experience

**Essential**

- Professionally well qualified clinician with substantial experience of care management
- Experience of working in a senior clinical role (minimum band 6)
- Experience of working within community setting
- Experience of managing a team
- Proven clinical leadership
- Specialist training in relevant area
- Awareness of recent government policies and directives and the implications for community service delivery
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to demonstrate coherent report writing skills
- Knowledge of relevant governance systems and their influence on current practice
