We are a friendly, supportive, growing community rehabilitation team who report high levels of job satisfaction. We offer professionally led services, in-service team training, effective supervision and external training opportunities through the Trust.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Physiotherapist who wishes to develop skills within a community service. We are looking for a creative, friendly and enthusiastic PT to join our existing team. The services are located near Enfield Town, with easy commuter links from central London/Hertfordshire and proximity to M25.

A car driver/owner is essential due to the nature of the role, community based home visits.

### Main duties of the job

Providing care to a multi cultural and diverse population, to deliver a high standard of occupational therapy care to patients and their carers.

To perform comprehensive PT assessment of people with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. To use this to provide a clinical diagnosis and deliver an individualised treatment program.

To hold responsibility for your own caseload and, working without direct supervision but together with the other members of the MDT, deliver a comprehensive package of care to patients and their carers. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case review and case conferences. Access to advice and support from a more senior occupational therapist is available.

To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

With support from more senior staff, to undertake evidence-based audit and or research projects to further own and teams clinical practice. Make recommendations to clinical lead/manager of service for changes to practice by the team. May contribute to the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.

To be aware of and to highlight to your line manager any clinical governance issues pertaining to your role and practice.

- Car owner/driver with valid UK driving license and car available for work purposes
- Good communication skills

### Education

**Essential**

- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Evidence of ongoing CPD development

**Desirable**

- Attendance at Post Grad Courses
- Membership of professional body or interest group

### Experience

**Essential**

- Minimum of 18 months – 2 years post graduate experience.
- Broad post graduate experience with significant component in relevant area
- Evidence of minium 12m NHS Experience
- Supervision Experience of students or rehab assistants

**Desirable**

- Participation in audits or projects
- Community working experience

### Skills and Aptitudes

**Essential**

- Ability to prioritise, organise and work in a busy environment.
- Ability to keep accurate and legible patient notes
- - Good communication skills, able to present information (written and oral) in a clear and logical manner

**Desirable**

- Good presentation skills.
- - Able to deal with difficult situations, e.g. dealing with aggressive and/or emotional patients or carers
