### Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B5 physiotherapist to join a vibrant community therapy team in East London. You may be newly qualified or already have some experience and be passionate about working in the community. Your patients will be varied and you will have many opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills. You will join an established team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, trusted assessors, rehab support workers and a practice experience facilitator, who all work closely with the other teams in the Extended Primary Care team, including district nurses, urgent community response and telehealth. You will also be supported with your Continuing Professional Development by attending monthly in-service training sessions, weekly therapy clinical meetings, monthly supervision sessions and a yearly appraisal, other training opportunities will also be available.

### Main duties of the job

1.Assessments and interventions for patients with a variety of clinical presentations

2.Working both alone in the community and as part of an MDT to provide therapeutic, rehabilitation interventions/programmes

3.Provide appropriate adaptive equipment for patients when indicated

4.Use of electronic programmes (e.g. Physio Tools) to generate home exercise programmes

5.To work according to HCPC and CSP regulations as an autonomous professional

6.To develop good communication skills with patients, their carers, colleagues and professionals from other teams and organisations

- managing a caseload, including prioritisation
- ensuring all work relationships are professional
- involving patients and carers in rehabilitation plans
- ensuring communication is of the highest standard at all times
- sharing information promptly and appropriately, when needed
- understanding day-to-day processes at work
- completing all statutory and mandatory training on time
- engaging in all appropriate CPD opportunities
- actively participating in the supervision and appraisal processes

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
