At Sutton Health and Care, we’re on a mission to deliver seamless, high-quality care right at the heart of the community. We’re looking for a dedicated Children’s Community Dietitian to join our friendly team at Green Wrythe Clinic.

- You’ll work closely with our Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Physiotherapists – all based in the same building, so collaboration really is part of daily life.

- Free on-site parking and just a short walk from St Helier Hospital.
- You’ll have the option of flexible hours (8 to 4, 9 to 5 or something that works for you and the service).
- Training opportunities at Epsom and St Helier, so you can keep your skills sharp.

### Main duties of the job

The post for Community Paediatric Dietitian sits within Children’s Services and the post holder will be responsible for the nutrition and dietetic management of community paediatric clients registered with a Sutton GP under the care of Sutton Health and Care.

You will provide a dietetic service to a caseload of children with general dietetic requirements. You will be required to provide dietetic care to a caseload of children with general dietetic requirements and will advise their carers in a range of locations including clinic settings, special or mainstream schools or at home.

This role is one of an autonomous practitioner but also involves joint liaison with other professionals involved with the child and their families both within health and other agencies.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant years of post qualification experience with appropriate experience in paediatric dietetics or community dietetics
- Understanding of the importance of effective multidisciplinary working

**Desirable**

- Experience of audit and research
- Experience in training others

### Knowledge and skills

**Essential**

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic IT Skills: word, email, internet
- Ability to deliver presentations and training as required

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of basic audit and quality tools
- Understanding of enteral feeding in children

### Qualifications and experience

**Essential**

- Degree in Dietetics/Post graduate qualifications
- Experience in Paediatrics dietetics
- HCPC registration

**Desirable**

- BDA member
- Member of BDA paeds group
