Do you have the ability to support the leadership and management of a great team to provide high quality care in the community setting? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you to join a well-established and dynamic team in the beautiful rural Herefordshire. This post will be a 12 month fixed term position to cover maternity leave. The post holder work closely with multidisciplinary teams and will work with our partnership health and social colleagues to provide optimal care plans for our complex patients. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota and cover late shifts until 8pm. The role involves visiting patients at home in some rural settings and you therefore must be able to drive and have access to a car. There are opportunities for lease cars. ### Main duties of the job As a Community/District nursing sister you will hold an individual caseload delivering a wide range of nursing interventions. In addition you will support team members with more complex nursing interventions on the team’s shared caseload. You will provide clinical supervision for those within the team and utilise your leadership skills to enhance and develop knowledge and skills of staff. We are a busy service and caseloads are reflective of this. This requires you to have good organisational skills, an ability to work independently and flexibility to support the needs of the service. You will be able to demonstrate excellent nursing skills, ability to motivate others and work well was part of a team. Duties include but are not limited to: Allocation of visits Maintaining the clinical competency matrix for staff Reviewing referrals and schedules to ensure appropriate visits Skill Mix on a day to day basis Leading handovers Undertaking clinical skills when required whether in wound clinic or Home visits.
