Blackpool Community Mental Health Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care. With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.

You will have experience managing a caseload of complex service users with effective engagement and case management skills. It will be of benefit to have experience working with cooccurring and complex emotional needs alongside understanding of severe and enduring conditions.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Knowledge and practice of Mental Health Act 1983
- Knowledge and practice of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Knowledge of common and complex mental health problems and medication used in relation to these
- Knowledge of common physical health conditions

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of assessing, planning and implementing and reviewing care needs
- Experienced in acting as a mentor/assessor of student staff

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered Mental Health Nurse
- On-going registration with the NMC
