### Job summary

We are recruiting for Healthcare Support Workers to join our friendly Community Nursing Team on the Isle of Wight.

As a Community Healthcare Support Worker, you will work as an integrated member of the Community Nursing Team, providing nursing care for patients in the community under the direction and supervision of the District Nurse Team Leader.

The role of Healthcare Support Worker is fundamental to the success of Community Nursing Teams and we are looking for successful candidates who are able to demonstrate the competencies to perform at this level and to be the role model of the Trust's core values.

We offer excellent opportunities for training and development of both your clinical and leadership skills.

This post will be required to work at any of our localities as necessary.

For this role you are required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to vehicle that you can use for work that has business insurance cover.

If you are new to Health Care we will place you on a HCSW induction programme to ensure that you are fully trained and supported to perform the role.

The programme will last for up to 6 months and during this period of training you will be paid a salary of 25272. On completion of your training period your salary will rise to 25760 as per the advert.

If you've worked as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), your skills transfer directly as a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) across mental and physical health.

### Main duties of the job

*To promote a positive and professional image of community nursing

*To act as an integrated member of the Community Nursing Team working with others to support quality of care and ensure the person is at the heart of everything we do.

*Providing nursing care for patients in the community under the direction and supervision of the District Nurse Team Leader

*Undertake delegated administration activities to support the Community Nursing Team
