Successful applicants will be invited to attend a Selection Day at Carew House, Bodmin on 21 August 2026.  This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 posts at 30 hours each to join our team in St Austell site.

These post are working as part of the wider Continuing healthcare at home service providing exceptional care for people at End of Life who wish to stay in their own homes.

These posts are working as part of the Community nursing service supporting people in their own homes providing clinical care while they are unable to attend other settings. This covers a range of skills such as venepuncture, dressing changes/ wound care and personal care at end of life and last offices as well as being supportive of family members.

These posts are for the St Austell area Integrated Neighbourhood team but the applicants may be required to cross cover other areas within Central Cornwall as service requirements dictate.

### Main duties of the job

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

- Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board

If you do not currently work for one of these NHS organisations, your application will not be considered at this time.

As a successful post holder you will need to have access to your own transport (mileage paid) and be able to work over a 7 day period, 365 day per year on a rota basis.

The post requires you to be able to work on your own as well as part of the wider team with support from the registered nursing staff.

You will be able to provide high quality holistic care focussed on what matters to the service user and demonstrate compassion and caring throughout what can be a very sensitive and stressful time.

Some training is provided but knowledge, understanding and skills in this area of care is preferred.

### Knowledge and Abilities

**Essential**

- The ability to deal calmly with stress and distressing situations.

### Education and Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 3 qualification in care or equivalent experience
- Trained in Venepuncture or willingness to undertake relevant training
- GCSE Maths & English or equivalent qualification
- Evidence of experience in care setting
