This is a hands-on role developing and delivering a range of exciting communications and engagement activity. In particular, providing expert advice for the programme that promotes vaccination to priority cohorts most at risk, working closely with system partners including local authorities’ public health teams and local communities to take an evidence-based approach. You will be responsible for developing engaging and accessible content using story-telling techniques to inform and reassure and facilitate conversations with local people. You will help to bring our priorities to life for staff, partners and residents with a focus on improving the health and lives of the residents of West and North London.

The successful candidate will have the ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders, craft excellent narratives and compelling content, and engage partners in the ICB’s work successfully.

This postholder will work collaboratively with the wider communications, involvement and insights team and the ICB prevention and vaccination team, to deliver creative, joined-up communications content across our internal and external channels

### Main duties of the job

- Develop and deliver communications plans in support of corporate priorities and projects, advising internal stakeholders on the most appropriate approaches to reach their target audiences.
- Provide expert advice to the Executive Team and other senior managers, supporting senior stakeholders to play a part in delivering corporate communications and campaigns (such as taking part in videos or media interviews) and share messaging through their own professional networks and profiles.
- Act as a guardian for the corporate brand, managing, developing, monitoring, and advising on the consistent application of plain English, accessibility, and visual identity guidelines across our communications and campaign materials and channels.
- Ensure that our corporate communications set a high-quality standard in writing, design and is accessible to our audiences (including the use of readable pdfs, alt tags, subtitles and BSL as appropriate)

**Essential**

- Experience of delivering communications and content across a range of channels, with tangible evidence of effective delivery and measurable impact
- Experience of developing and delivering a strategic communications plan with the ability to turn complex information into creative, compelling, relevant, and engaging content that tells a clear and consistent story to its target audience
- Experience of developing and delivering campaign plans to help influence behaviour change, with a solid understanding of social marketing techniques
- Experience of developing and managing communications in a public facing environment, including using social media as a reputation management and community engagement tool; creating enewsletters; creating high quality, internet-ready content; and optimising paid and natural search and paid-advertising
- Experience of helping a complex organisation to respond to a crisis in the NHS or wider Public Sector may be helpful but is not essential.

- Knowledge of best practice in digital communication principles, authoring standards, website design, accessibility, usability, user journeys, navigation and information architecture, and proficiency in the use of web information architecture presentation (sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards).
