### Job summary

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for people living with long term conditions?

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Long Term Conditions, Neighbourhood Health and Care Integration team as a Commissioning Support Manager, working across Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country Cluster to support the planning, commissioning and delivery of services that make a real difference for local people.

You will play an important role in supporting day-to-day operational management and service redesign of associated programmes, working collaboratively across primary, community and secondary care services, voluntary and third sector providers, clinicians, contractors and wider ICS partners. The role will focus on supporting, facilitating and monitoring progress within a specialist long term condition area, helping to improve performance, service delivery and outcomes for the cluster population.

Why join us?

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys partnership working, problem-solving and supporting transformation. You will contribute to commissioned health initiatives, integrated service models and long term condition workstreams, while helping reduce health inequalities and deliver meaningful improvements for communities. You will be part of an ambitious system focused on value and outcomes, neighbourhood health, digital solutions, productivity, equity and integrated partnership working.

### Main duties of the job

You will communicate complex, sensitive and sometimes contentious information clearly and professionally, working with senior managers, providers, commissioners, clinicians and system partners to support decision-making, performance improvement and change.

The role will support planning across programme areas, keeping workstreams organised and focused on agreed outcomes. You will analyse complex information, respond to emerging issues, develop options and anticipate risks to delivery.

You will contribute to policy and service development within the specialist area, supporting implementation with ICS partners. You will maintain programme information systems, support data collection and reporting, and provide assurance on service performance. You will also support effective use of budgets and resources, focusing on value for money.

You will support project boards and programme governance, present progress updates, contribute to education and training and provide guidance to junior colleagues when required. You will work autonomously where appropriate, maintain professional development and comply with organisational policies, including equality, information governance, safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety.

You will be adaptable, organised and confident in a busy, changing environment, with strong influencing, networking and Microsoft Office skills and a commitment to improving performance, reducing inequalities and driving social inclusion.

### About us

Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull Integrated Care System bring together the NHS, councils and voluntary sector to serve 2.7 million people. Our vision is to be the healthiest place to live and work, improving life chances and reducing inequalities.

You will model system values, champion inclusion and actively address health inequalities, helping create an environment where everyone can thrive. In return, the Cluster offers a supportive, ambitious and inclusive environment with opportunities to develop and work across partners to deliver meaningful change.

The ICB is committed to having a workforce which is representative of the population of Birmingham, the Black Country, and Solihull Cluster. Our current staffing profile demonstrates that we are not as representative as we would like to be at this level within the organisation. We would actively welcome applications from women and people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
