The post holder will be directly responsible to the Head of Financial Management and Planning.  You will be responsible for providing a high quality financial management service to the newly created Division of Genomic Medicine. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, integrity and an appropriate business focus.  This will include delivering against the Trust's Efficiency and Productivity programme without impacting upon the quality of patient care. The role provides an opportunity to be part of new developments in healthcare and provides a platform for wider professional exposure in the healthcare sector. ### Main duties of the job The NHS has an ambitious agenda to harness the power of genomic technology and science to improve the health of the population and deliver on the commitments in the NHS Long term plan. This is a senior finance leadership role with autonomy to shape the finance and performance of the Genomic Medicine Division (the Lead Provider for Central and South Genomics). You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience and expertise in financial management in an NHS setting obtained in a senior finance role.  Modeling, forecasting, presenting and analytical skills are a pre-requisite for this post along with highly developed negotiation and communication skills.
