We are looking for a CBT therapist to join our psychological professions team, offering clinical work and supervision in our adult mental health community services. We are looking for those who are innovative, flexible, and passionate about contributing to delivering services that provide trauma-informed, person-centred care in adult community mental health.

Our CBT therapist forms sits alongside our psychology professionals, Lead Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, Medical and Operational colleagues as part of an experienced, compassionate, trauma informed and person-centred multidisciplinary leadership team. We are keen to support psychological professionals’ development. Training and supervision in leadership, and clinical interventions to deliver and support our NICE informed care pathways is encouraged.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide CBT to clients across all sectors of care; providing specialist CBT assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ CBT care to non-CBT colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

As well as holding a caseload of clients the post holder will clinically supervise other Trainee CBT Therapists and Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWPs). Providing guidance and advice to supervisees on client treatment, onward referrals and caseload management. The post holder has no line management responsibilities.

### Knowledge and abilities

**Essential**

- Demonstrate experience of working in mental health settings with clients who present with a range of mental health issues and degrees of complexity
- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common health problems
- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it related to this post

### Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

**Essential**

- Qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist with BABCP accreditation and specialist CBT knowledge to master's or equivalent level.
- Significant experience working as a CBT therapist and demonstrating the competencies required
- BABCP accredited
- Successfully completed or willingness to undertake CBT supervisor training
- Core Mental Health profession and professional registration (e.g. NMC nursing, SWE social work, HCPC)
