### Job overview

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is home to one of London’s largest JACIE-accredited Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) programmes, delivering approximately 170 procedures per year. Our service continues to expand, to include CAR-T therapy and other cutting edge cellular and gene-editing treatments.

We are currently reshaping our SCT & Cellular Therapy coordinating team and we are now seeking to recruit a Band 7 - CNS role that will have a particular focus on Late Effects. As the Late Effects CNS, you will act as a dedicated key worker for patients, providing expert clinical support, education, holistic care and advocacy. You will play a pivotal role identifying, monitoring and managing the physical and psychosocial impact of treatment, ensuring patients receive essential follow-up care and support as they navigate the post-transplant journey.

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking nurse who has:

- Excellent advanced communication skills
- Significant experience within Haematology, SCT and Cellular Therapies
- A strong interest in survivorship, rehabilitation and the management of late effects
- The ability to manage complex treatment pathways and patient needs
- A commitment to delivering patient-centred care

This role is about more than coordinating care. It is about empowering patients, promoting wellbeing and quality of life after SCT treatment, supporting them through recovery, with the aim of achieving the best possible long-term outcomes.

### Main duties of the job

- To fulfil the role of CNS, working as an autonomous practitioner, managing a defined caseload
- Provide specialist nursing advice and support related to SCT/Cellular therapies and Late-effects/symptom control.
- Working as an integral member of the transplant coordination team.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant post registration and in specialty area and experience in either junior specialty role or team leader/ward management role
- Experience with managing patient caseload relevant to specialty
- Experience of working independently and as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
- To have demonstrable experience of service development

### Education/ qualifications

**Essential**

- NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
- Educated to Degree level or above in related subject
- Post registration qualification relevant to role at level 7 and evidence of continued professional development
- Recognised post-registration teaching qualification.

**Desirable**

- MSc or MA in related specialty
- Psychological assessment course
- Quality improvement training

### Skills/knowledge/ abilities

**Essential**

- Clear understanding of the role of the Coordinator role in SCT and the associated responsibility and accountability
- Broad understanding of SCT and cancer treatments and cancer pathways.
- Understanding of related regulatory/accreditation/governing bodies, e.g. JACIE, HTA, EBMT NICE guidance and government targets relating to cancer specialty
- Up to date knowledge of current clinical practice and professional issues

**Desirable**

- Advanced IT skills use or Excel/Data management
- Presentation skills
