## Job Content

### Job overview

We are seeking a clinical or counselling psychologist to work in the North Islington Core team. North London Foundation Trust (NLFT) community mental health services are undergoing widespread, innovative transformation, and Core teams are at the forefront of this. We are developing a more holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach to supporting people with mental illnesses, in partnership with primary care, other community NHS providers and the voluntary sector.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessments, formulations, and interventions (individual and group) to those presenting with severe mental health problems in the London borough of Islington. This would require a sound knowledge and experience of CBT and other evidence base interventions in both groups and individual contexts. They will also support and offer liaison, education, supervision, and consultation to GPs, members of the multidisciplinary team and the wider Primary Care Network.

Postholders will be part of newly developing Virtual Psychology Hubs within each borough as well as being integrated within the MDT. This will support more effective co-ordination and delivery of psychological interventions within the borough.
