### Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Psychologist to work on one of our inpatient units for Older People. You will be joining an experienced Inpatient service and be part of our wider team of Psychologists specialising in work with older people across inpatients and community services. We are a supportive team that values innovation, fosters development and is passionate about the care of older people and their families.

The post is based at The Meadows 24 bed inpatient unit in Epsom, which is divided into 3 smaller wards, two for people with dementia and one for people with complex mental health needs. You will be working collaboratively with a full multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry, Nursing, OT, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Activities Coordinators and Pharmacy.

This post will be supported and supervised by the Lead Psychologist for Older Adults inpatients who is clinically based at the unit.

A priority on appointment will be creating a personalised development plan, in line with your career interests and the needs of the service. You will receive a comprehensive induction programme.  We hold regular CPD sessions and provide specialist supervision groups for neuropsychology and neurodiversity. You will be able to join a peer support group for Band 7 Psychologists. We have strong links to local training courses and value the contribution of Trainee Psychologists.
