## Job Content

### Job overview

We are excited to go out to advert for a clinical/counselling psychologist to join our ARFID team within Cornwall Foundation Trust. The post holder would join an MDT of psychiatry, paediatrics, occupational therapy and dietitians. ARFID sits within the broader Children & Young People's Eating Disorder Service, as a dedicated team. We support children and young people aged 8+ who meet criteria for Getting More Help or Getting Risk Support within the I Thrive model.

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. We are committed to supporting our dedicated staff, so only current employees of the following organisations can apply:

- Cornwall Foundation Trust
- Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
- Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board

If you do not currently work for one of these NHS organisations, your application will not be considered at this time.

### Main duties of the job

To provide a qualified clinical/counselling psychology service to children and young people presenting with avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) and their families. The role will be providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on client’s psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
