The VSU provide comprehensive vascular imaging support to a range of clinics and services, including: - One‑stop vascular clinics (surgeon- and nurse-led) - Multidisciplinary diabetic foot clinics - Weekly vascular hot clinics - Thrombosis outpatient services - Rapid access TIA clinics - Inpatient and outpatient vascular services You will work closely with a well‑established multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Specialist Nurses, and other consultant groups. This role offers the chance to work in a beautiful part of the country, while independently carrying out advanced vascular investigations, contributing to service development, and playing a pivotal role in the diagnosis and management of patients with vascular disease. Vascular Scientists are allocated 20% protected non‑scanning time, enabling engagement in: - MDT meetings - Teaching and training - CPD activities - Quality assurance, audit, and governance - Departmental and service development work - Mandatory training The Trust actively supports staff wishing to contribute to CVSV committees and professional leadership roles, with opportunities available to attend funded external courses/conferences. ### Main duties of the job On appointment, you will work autonomously and provide supervision to others, performing and reporting complex vascular ultrasound examinations to the highest professional standard.
