### Job overview

The clinical research fellow will be available to work on clinical research projects in scleroderma, and General Rheumatology. This post provides medical support for clinical trials including academic and commercial studies that focus on cutting edge novel therapies for scleroderma and its organ-based complications, including pulmonary hypertension and digital ulcers. In addition to undertaking research work in clinical trials, the post-holder will receive outstanding opportunities to train in the management of complex connective tissue diseases and be involved in a vigorous and highly successful translational research program in scleroderma, managing their own project

This is an outstanding opportunity to gain experience working in a major internationally renowned scleroderma center. It will provide training in clinical trials and translational medicine as well as scleroderma and its major complications. It would suit someone at the end of their rheumatology training who wishes to gain experience in clinical trials, or an individual considering a career in rheumatology wishing to obtain more exposure to the specialty in an exciting and stimulating academic environment. It is however, expected that the fellow will also have opportunity for personal research and other clinical work in rheumatology. There is also a new portfolio of CART T studies.
