### Job overview

Colne Ward

In these challenging times for the healthcare sector, the team at Riverside Centre Hospital remains more committed than ever to providing progressive opportunities for their staff, and this position is no exception. Colne Ward is seeking for an experienced Band 6 Clinical Team Leader with PICU knowledge, and in return, we offer a comprehensive development package to support the growth of your career. - Our innovative Trauma-Informed Approaches (TIA) staff training program
- Support to become an in-house Physical Intervention Trainer

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat a range of mental health conditions, challenging behaviors, and severe and enduring mental illnesses.

Nursing practice is constantly evolving, and at Riverside Centre, so are we. We believe that to understand mental health issues, it's often more helpful to ask, "What has happened to you?" rather than "What is wrong with you?" This approach is at the heart of our Trauma-Informed Approaches (TIA), where we recognise the connection between life experiences and the development of mental health difficulties. Riverside Centre Hillingdon is a leader in developing Trauma-Informed Approaches (TIA) to patient care within CNWL.

- A drive to improve inpatient care in a mental health setting.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teamwork.
- The ability to provide strong clinical leadership and serve as a role model for best practices on both the ward and within the wider unit.

Please note, that this role requires successful candidates to participate in Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA) training, including the use of force techniques, due to the high-acuity nature of the ward and the need to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. Candidates must complete TMVA training during their employment to be considered for the position.
