### Job overview

The Team Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Crisis Team by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality patient care. Working within a fast-paced and sensitive healthcare environment, the post holder is responsible for coordinating administrative processes, helping to manage referrals and supporting clinical staff in the day-to-day operation of the service.

The Team Administrator acts as a key point of contact for service users, families, carers, internal departments, and external agencies, ensuring effective communication and the timely exchange of information. The role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and compassion when dealing with vulnerable young people and their families.

### Main duties of the job

Whilst having previous experience in an administrative role is essential, NHS or other health care experience is not. We are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion for people, customer service experience, extensive organisational skills, an interest in working in a health care setting and a 'can do' attitude.

This role is at the heart of a dedicated and caring team and is a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations.

We are looking for someone who feels comfortable multi-tasking in a busy environment, can communicate confidently, is thorough and takes pride in their work, can build strong working relationships with a variety of people, can prioritise their workload and work to deadlines.

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CAMHS Crisis Team.
- Manage referrals and patient information in line with service procedures.
- Act as a first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.
- Support data collection, reporting, and service performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safeguarding, and information governance standards.
- Liaise professionally with young people, families, carers, schools, social care, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, letters, correspondence, and meeting documentation. Support the effective functioning of the multidisciplinary team.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities
