### CLINICAL SPECIALIST OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

With Team Lead Responsibilities

### Band 7

PERMANENT POST, FULL TIME 36 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with significant skills and accredited expertise in the area of adult Learning Disabilities, to work within our integrated Health and Social Work team from a base in Claverhouse Health & Social Care offices, Dundee. Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is an essential component of the post and you will be encouraged to develop partnership working with local voluntary sector partners, care provider agencies and supported education services.

As the most senior LD Occupational Therapist in the team, the post holder will carry out assessments and provide specialist interventions to individuals referred to the team. You will utilise your substantial post registration experience to respond to these Learning Disability referrals, many of which will have additional complex health presentations. Your specialist assessments and recommendations will incorporate your knowledge and skills in occupational performance along with your enhanced skills in mental and physical health.

As the Lead of the LD Occupational Therapy Team you will lead on service development initiatives, quality improvement, audit and clinical governance in your team. You will have line management responsibility for a designated group of OT and support staff, including supervision, appraisal

On occasion you may be asked to work out with normal office hours, and therefore a degree of flexible working may be required. There may also be a potential for 7 day working arrangements to be introduced as a result of ongoing service redesign initiatives.

Currently registered with the HCPC and with a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy, our commitment to leadership development, individual supervision and continuing professional development will support you in this clinical specialist role.
